Gary Birch

Gary Birch has more 30 years’ experience in the mining and mineral processing industry, with 23 years in the Uranium industry, of which 16 years are with Heathgate.

He has held a number of roles within Heathgate, including Production Manager, Mine Manager, Major Projects Superintendent, Planning & Technical Superintendent and he has managed the Operations team for more than eight years.

Gary has also worked for Queensland Alumina Limited producing Alumina, Ok Tedi Mining Limited producing Copper and Gold in Papua New Guinea, and Energy Resources ofAustralia producing Uranium.

As Chief Operations Officer Gary oversees the Beverley mining operations, maintenance, projects, and ICT teams as well as the current major wellfield expansion project.

Gary holds a Masters in Business Administration and Bachelor in Electrical Engineering.
