Economic Impact

The Company is a significant contributor to the South Australian economy through a number of avenues, including:

construction contracts; and

ongoing investment.

The Company has significant investments in the Beverley and the Beverley North projects, including:

environmental assessment;

project viability studies;

aquifer testing;

resource studies; and

construction of the wellfields, processing plants and associated facilities.

Most of the expenditure was made within South Australia.

The Company provides many full-time jobs, casual and contract direct and indirect positions with production crews working on a roster basis, flying in and out of the site from Adelaide and Port Augusta.   This has led to additional wage income for employees as well as associated payroll tax revenue to the State Government.

Furthermore, the State Government has benefited through royalty payments which are paid every six months.

The Company's annual export income from Beverley and Beverley North is a positive contributor to the national balance of payments.  A significant fraction of net revenues are reinvested in other projects within the Frome Basin.
